Kathmandu, yesterday — A Turkish Airlines aircraft preparing to depart for Istanbul was forced to abort take-off and return to the parking area at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The aircraft, operating flight TK-727, was scheduled to depart Kathmandu at 12:35 pm. After receiving clearance and accelerating on the runway, the plane was brought to an abrupt stop following a technical indication in the cockpit.

According to Tribhuvan International Airport officials, the decision was taken as a precautionary measure after the system indicated a potential technical issue. Airport authorities said the aircraft would resume its flight only after a detailed technical inspection.

No injuries or damage were reported in the incident.
